Assuming we cannot use the Japanese booking site (online reservation), is it possible to just go to the location directly and buy on the spot?

In that case, I recommend you make a reservation on the phone or email by the previous day to avoid sailing cancel or ship leaving ahead of schedule. Just pay on the day of boarding. Have a nice trip!
I’ll be in Japan this Oct 23. This is my first time visiting Japan and South Korea as a solo traveler. Before everythjng, I was wondering where do I buy the ferry “Beetle” tickets from Fukuoka-Busan and what information do I need other than my US Citizen passport? Im planning to be on the Ferry roundtrip Oct30-Oct5. Is it still available to ride… How much does it cost for these days? Thanks!

You can buy a ticket at website of Beetle booking page or reservation desk its phone number +81-92-281-2315 or use aferry.com.
Beetle’s official website offers a special round-trip tickets at JPY11,900 for Oct.30-Nov.5 today but you have to sign-up for membership and proceed with purchasing on pages in Japanese. You can also get tickets by phone, please see their information pages in English.
I suppose you don’t need entering visa to Japan and S.Korea for sightseeing. Reservation desk staff will answer to your inquiry.

I think the New Camellia is OK to carry cars. If it is not any good, you can take your car alternatively by Kampu ferry or Pukwan ferry run between Shimonoseki and Busan.

釜山市で、仁川～青島フェリーのチケット購入できる旅行会社とかご存知ないでしょうか?
サイトのブッキング見てもなんか壊れているし、
カタコトの英語は、できるのですけど、韓国語は
まったくだめなので、電話で予約するのもちと厳しい。
仁川－青島のチケットは当日、窓口でも購入できると思います。私が仁川第2ターミナルへ午前11時頃に行ったときには、既に窓口は開いていました。
希望の船室クラスを確保したいなら、やはり電話で問い合わせた方がいいと思います。国際航路ですので英語でも大丈夫でしょう。旅行代理店で取り扱ってるかどうかはわかりませんが、釜山市内そこかしこにあるツーリストインフォメーションで旅行会社を紹介して貰ったらいかがでしょうか。
